We are seeking a highly capable and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our reputable gun club and shooting range. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team, executing events, ensuring the safety of all members and visitors, and maintaining the overall functionality of the facility. This role requires a combination of strong leadership skills, expertise in team management, and hands-on experience with outdoor grounds work.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to staff members to ensure exceptional customer service and range safety.
2. Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan, organize, and execute various events at the gun club and shooting range, such as competitions, training sessions, and social gatherings.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful event logistics, including scheduling, equipment setup, and participant registration.
3. Range Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shooting range, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all members and visitors.
- Regularly inspect and maintain shooting range equipment, ensuring proper functionality and addressing any issues promptly.
- Have knowledge in basic shooting sports such as skeet, trap, sporting clays, and 5 stands.
- Safely set up and change sporting clay & 5 stand course weekly.
4. General Manager Duties:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to meet the club's goals and objectives, promoting growth and sustainability.
- Manage budgeting, financial planning, and revenue generation, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Maintain accurate records of memberships, events, and financial transactions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in team management, preferably in a similar industry or setting.
- Strong knowledge of firearms safety regulations and shooting range operations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate events effectively.
- Physically fit and able to handle outdoor grounds work, including loading targets, setting machines, and maintaining shooting range facilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proficient in computer applications and software for administrative tasks.
- Prior experience in budgeting and financial management is preferred.
