Headline news is the South Central Regional at Covey Rise has been cancelled.
Due to damage from Hurricane Ida, Covey Rise was forced to cancel the South Central Regional.
Yesterday the NSCA Executive Committee moved the 2021 South Central to Houston. The Greater Houston Gun Club will COMBINE the Diamond Classic with the 2021 South Central Regional. Registration is on Winscore.
The NSCA Executive Committee has awarded Covey Rise the 2023 South Central Regional.
No further information on registration, refunds, etc. is available at this time. Please be patient. More information will be published when available.

LSCA Reorganization
To better serve the LSCA membership, the Association will be reorganized as of 2022. Specifically, the Association will focus on three areas of service headed by a Captain (who is a Board Member).
1. Administration: Board Member Captain: the LSCA Secretary/Treasurer Mike Dunn.
a. Tech Team.
2. Shooter Services: Thomas Cook, Captain.
a. State Championship
b. LSCA Promotions during the year.
c. Recruitment of new members from SC fundraisers.
3. Club Services: Board Member Captain. TBA
a. Rule Book assistance.
b. Scorechaser assistance.
c. Recruitment of new Clubs.
The President and Vice President will be a member of each Service team and fill in the gaps to assist with the Services objectives.
Tech Team: Captain of this team is Dan Lavergne. This team is staffed by LSCA volunteers.
a. LSCA website manager: Thomas Sparks.
b. LSCA statistician ($&B Promotion): Scott Doucet.
c. LSCA virtual meeting manager: NEED VOLUNTEER.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We need a VOLUNTEER Board Member for the Club Services Captain and a volunteer for virtual meeting manager (does not have to be Board Member) for the Tech Team.
If you are interested in helping the Captains in any of these objectives or becoming the virtual meeting manager, please contact Dan Lavergne.
The LSCA was on track (before Hurricane Ida) to meet or exceed the 2018 target count. We are doing this in spite of a shell shortage and Clubs having to drop some small gauge events due to the lack of adequate ammunition.
Board Notice
The previously scheduled Board meeting on 9/11/21 has been postponed. Several Clubs have cited conflicting Club activities and travel difficulties on that date. This is understandable due to current circumstances. A new date to select the 2022 shoot dates and host Club for 2022 State Championship will be announced later. (The new State Championship Bid Form which has been reduced from 14 to 4 pages is on the LSCA website.) Due to COVID and ongoing recovery efforts, the next Board Meeting will be held via virtual meeting. We are in the process of selecting an appropriate date and time. A notice will be sent out when the meeting is scheduled.
Final Note
The LSCA family was hurt by Hurricane Ida. Our friends in South East Louisiana are struggling to recover. Please pray for them.
Dan Lavergne, President
