Louisiana Sporting Clays Association
January 25, 2021
Announcement
LSCA Members and Friends:
The purpose of our Association is to foster amateur Sporting Clays completion in Louisiana. Through the hard work of previous Officers and Directors the LSCA has built a strong foundation of Shooters and Member Clubs.
This year, LSCA was fortunate to be selected to bring the clay target (Sporting Clays) edition of the National Shooting Sports Foundation's "First Shots" program to Louisiana. This program is designed to teach new shooters how to safely enjoy our sport.
My personal introduction to Sporting Clays was a fundraiser in Lafayette. I had absolutely no understanding of what to expect, but it was fun. Fortunately, fellow shooters helped me through the event. Then I was hooked on Sporting Clays.
The First Shots program is designed to help those who are new to shooting or Sporting Clays enjoy the sport, either at a fundraiser or at one of our weekly Registered events.
If this program proves successful, the LSCA would bring it to all member Clubs in Louisiana.
This is our first event.
PS: Thank you Ed Simon for being the first to give this program a try. As you may remember Ed was the first Club in Louisiana to try Scorechaser.
