USASCT Criteria Amended for 2021 Team
The qualification criteria for the 2021 USA Sporting Clays Sporting Team have been modified. The NSCA Executive Council understands the difficulty in getting to all of the 2020 selection shoots and have made some modifications in an effort to assist with the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has created for our 2020 shooting season. These modifications only affect the Sporting team; the FITASC team qualification criteria remain the same with the exception of the 2020 NSCA US Open being held. See the qualification criteria and selection shoots.

2019 Punches Carrying Over to 2021
In response to the unique challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NSCA Executive Council has made the decision to allow punches earned during the 2019 shoot year to be carried over to 2021. This decision will alter rule V-A-2-e of the NSCA 2020 rule book for the 2021 shoot year only.
Target Minimums Waived for Major Events
Due to the cancellation of many events during the pandemic, the NSCA Executive Council voted to waive all target minimums that would normally apply for classification at State and Regional shoots, as well as the 2020 National Championship. The NSCA rules that correspond are in the online version of the 2020 NSCA Rule Book:
State Shoots – pages 29-30 Rule VI-B-3-d
Regional Shoots – page 30 Rule VI-B-4-b
National Championship – page 32 Rule VI-B-6-b

New Sub-Gauge Class Begins January 1, 2021
The new Sub-Gauge classification does not go into effect until January 1, 2021. The NSCA Executive Council is currently working on the details and the verbiage for the new rule so the programming can be written for the NSCA database. Until that time, shooters will continue as in the past with the current single classification system. We will post the new Sub-Gauge classification rule when all the details and verbiage are ready, prior to the 2021 shoot year. Click here for more information on the new Sub-Gauge
