Over 200 people turned out Saturday at the Powder Creek shooting range in Lenexa, Kansas to support the 5tgh annual John V. Mesh Sporting Clays shoot. The event, named for fallen Kansas City Firefighter and Historic Northeast native John Mesh, is a fundraiser for the John V. Mesh memorial scholarship fund. That scholarship pays for area youth to attend summer camps sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation, teaching and mentoring young people interested in a career in the Conservation Service.
